I get off work at noon tomorrow, and then the bossman is taking everyone to lunch. Then I have orientation at NEWJOB! at 3pm in Valley Center, then dinner, then KIP at 7.

I have a new job- I go in for orientation on Friday afternoon (so I get on the payroll in 2005, and therefore can participate in profit sharing in '06), and start next Wednesday. I wanted a long weekend. The pay is way better- about $4k a year more.

Work is boring. This is not keeping my mind off things. I bought urns. Cried some more. My friends are awesome, and that includes e-friends. Tarki the Icon Kitty is sleeping in my room for now and if Jer doesn't like it that's his problem.

My kitty Woody died yesterday. He was about 4 months shy of his 21st birthday. That's around 100 in people years.
I feel like my heart's been ripped out.

The idea of teaching Spanish has planted itself in my brain and it just. won't. leave. I'm semi-seriously considering this.

I successfully made it back from Colorado. It was interesting. We had a rental car- a Hyundai Santa Fe. I have much love for this vehicle in the snow. I'm still dehydrated from the whole "not drinking to avoid more stops than are necessary," and I'm very glad not to be stuck in some church gym out in Western Kansas.

Oh yeah- I can KIP this weekend.

So, one of my coworkers is married to the director of the YMCA where I work out (hypothetically- due to stupid road construction, I haven't been in in over 2 months). Said coworker's spouse asked said coworker to ask me if I would like to be on the Board of Directors. It's volunteer, with meetings 1-2 times a month. Huh.
